Suppressor Operativo is a unique knife that was ordered by G.I.S. counter-terrorism unit to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of its existence. (Gruppo d'Intervento Speciale), special operational/anti-terrorist group of the Italian Carabinieri. Suppressor Operativo is black oxide-coated, without logo, side sheath included.
N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - extremely slim and sharp, 6.3 mm thick with a Dagger shape and a symmetrical double-edged blade. The blade is chemically polished with a non-reflective MIL-C-13924 BURNISHING coating. Both sides of the blade are smooth Plain ground with Flat grind for excellent cutting and especially penetration properties. At the base of the blade double finger guard on both sides / corrugated guard that protects the hand against slipping on the blade.
Handle - technopolymer (reinforced nylon) grip linings provide lightweight and secure grip especially in wet hands. Steel head with an enlarged oval lanyard hole to allow the drawing of a lanyard or safety line, can be used as a hammer / glass breaker and more
Sheath - black abrasion resistant waterproof nylon thigh-high sheath with M.O.L.L.E. system webbing attachment. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment). Holster allows you to carry the knife on your belt or vest compatible with MOLLE system. Lower part of the scabbard with Velcro strap for attachment to the thigh.
