154CM - American high-carbon alloy steel tool steel doped 4.% molybdenum. Considered an improved equivalent of Japanese steel ATS-34. Due to its high hardness of 58-61 HRC, retains sharpness longer than most stainless steels. It has excellent strength and corrosion resistance. Manufactured in steel mills Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM).
Head - satinized drop point. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. Slight blade thickness combined with high concave cut (Hollow Grind) gives excellent cutting properties combined with high strength.
