Reinforced, fully dismantled construction connected by torx screws facilitates cleaning, folder adjustment. Manufactured in Spyderco factory in USA (Golden, Colorado).
CPM S45VN - a corrosion-resistant, high-strength American CPM S45VN powder steel with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC which is a developmental version of the well-known and popular S30V steel. This unique steel is designed for the production of high-grade blades and knives, manufactured at the steel mills of Crucible Inc.
Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) patented by Spyderco (made in USA) head locking mechanism. Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the handle, protects the knife from unintentional closing. When releasing the lock your fingers are not in the way of the folding blade.
Blade - laser cut with modified Clip Point shape, 3.7 mm thick. Covered with matt non-reflective DLC coating (Diamond Like Carbon). Plain blade is Full Flat Grind for increased cutting performance and reduced weight. Enlarged 14 mm SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows opening the knife even with a glove. Notched thumb rest and Finger Choil (contoured index finger rest between handle and cutting edge) increase control of the knife.
Handle - non-slip textured linings in military digital camouflage. Made of G-10 plastic (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals) screwed to steel liners using torx screws. Folder is equipped with a metal clip with 4-way clip positions in four planes (up/down, right/left). In the rear part of the grip there is an enlarged lanyard hole to pull a lanyard or safety line.
