Blade - 3 mm thick with a wide curved Drop Point profile, provides excellent cutting-edge geometry with low friction. Blade is made of well sharpening stainless steel 8Cr13MoV (equivalent to Japanese steel AUS-8). Plain type blade is Full Flat Grind for excellent cutting qualities and reduced weight. Glare-reducing Satin Finish (semi-matte). Enlarged 14 mm rounded SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) for easy opening of the blade with cold or wet hands as well as with a glove. Corrugated thumb rests (spine jimping) and finger choil jimping, index finger rest between handle and cutting edge make it easier to control the knife.
8Cr13MoV - easy to sharpen, stainless knife steel, equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel. High content of 13.0% chromium and average 0.8% carbon provide excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of 1.0% silicon, 0.3% molybdenum increase the steel strength and wear resistance. 8Cr13MoV is characterized by high hardness in the range of 57-62 HRC.
Skeleton - of skeletonized stainless-steel plates provides exceptional structural strength, while forming the basis of the Liner-Lock, Michael Walker jimped liner head lock mechanism. The whole is bolted together with torx screws for easy unfolding and folding of the folder.
Handle - profiled, covered with non-slip textured facings made of G-10 (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals). The facings are attached to a solid spacer (so called backspacer / handle linings connector) made of stainless steel, which ensures the durability of the construction. Solid cutout in one of the covers guarantees intuitive right-hand access to the SpyderHole as well as to the head lock release. Metal clip (left/right) allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. In the back of the handle a hole (lanyard hole) for pulling a lanyard or safety line.
