Smock Carbon Fiber / G-10, the design of the award-winning industrial designer Kevin Smock, who drew attention with his visionary, hand-made knives. The folder combines the improved Compression Lock mechanism with two different ways to open the blade with one hand, the Spyderco Round Hole gap and the elegant flipper (flipper opener).

CPM S30V - corrosion resistant, resistant to mechanical stress American powder steel with the addition of carbon, chromium and vanadium, hardness 58-59 HRC. This unique steel is designed for the production of high-quality blades and knives. Made in the USA at Crucible Inc.

Compression-Lock - this is Spyderco Company patent - blade locking mechanism, similar to Liner-Lock. Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use. Previously, the release of the blockade on the back of the handle secures the knife against unintentional closing. A unique feature of the Smock folder is the transfer of the release of the lock to one of the cladding of the grip of the handle. Releasing the locking mechanism takes place by means of a button that allows the knife to be locked safely and easily without the risk of cutting the fingers with the edge of the blade during folding.

Blade - about 3 mm thickness with refined similar to Steepfoot profile. Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with concave cut (Hollow), provides excellent geometry and durability. On the back of the blades was placed notched thumb ramp (upper jimping) and Finger Choil (profiled undercutting for the index finger in front of the cutting edge) make it easier to control the knife.

Handle - laminated claddings made of textured carbon fiber / G-10. G-10 material - resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals) provides a comfortable grip, ergonomic streamlined shape and exclusive texture. The cut in one of the cladding guarantees intuitive access to the SpyderHole cutout. The metal one-position clip (right-handed) allows you to carry the knife in the tip-up position. In the rear part of the linings was placed a gap (lanyard hole) enabling fixing the rope.
