Slipit - the most common non-blocking mechanism used in folders. It uses an improved spring mechanism with notches (notchet-joint spring mechanism) to keep the blade open during use. When folding incisions, they generate liquid resistance like a knife equipped with a traditional blockade. Slipit folders are also equipped with (finger groove) undercutting the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge, preventing accidental closing of the blade.
SpyderHole - (patent Spyderco) round cutout for easy opening of the blade and scissors.
Blade - about 2 mm thickness with a curved Clip Point profile - provides excellent cutting edge geometry at low friction. Made of 8Cr13MoV sharp stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with full flat cut (Full Flat Grind) that provides excellent cutting properties and weight reduction. Satin Finish (semi-matt) coating eliminates glares. The thumb ramp and finger choil (finger groove), undercutting the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge make it easier to control the tool.
Handle - covered with stainless steel cladding. The folder is equipped with a screwed right-hand metal clip, allowing you to carry the knife in the tip-up position. In the back of the grip was placed a gap (lanyard hole) for attaching a safety rope.
