Slipit - the most common non-blocking mechanism used in folders. It uses an improved spring mechanism with notches (notchet-joint spring mechanism) to keep the blade open during use. During folded, the notches generate smooth resistance like a knife equipped with a traditional lock. Slipit keeps the blade in both - also folded and unfolded positions. Folders Slipit are also equipped with (finger choil) an undercut under the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge, preventing accidental closing of the blade.
Blade - about 3 mm thickness with Leaf-Shaped profile. Made of good sharpness, durable high-cobalt stainless steel N690Co with a hardness of 58 HRC manufactured at the Austrian Böhler steel mill. Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with full flat cut (Full Flat Grind). The flat cut guarantees the perfect geometry of the cutting edge with a sharp tip, reduces the weight of the knife and presents a beautiful satin finish. The round cutout SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) increased supporting the ramp, which places the thumb directly above the hole, facilitating quick opening of the blade with cold or wet hands. Notched supports: thumb ramp (spine jimping) and (finger choil jimping), undercutting the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge make it easier to control the knife.
Handle - textured claddings in pink color. Made of FRN material (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), glass fiber reinforced nylon. The covers are attached to a solid spacer (backspacer / handle liner connector) made of stainless steel, which provides structural strength and serves as a spring for the non-blocking mechanism of the knife. The folder has been made of wire, screwed clip (left / right) allowing you to move the knife in tip-down position.
