Slipit - the most common non-blocking mechanism used in folders. Uses an improved spring mechanism with incisions (notchet-joint) to keep the blade open during use. During folding the knife, incisions generate a smooth resistance like a knife equipped with a traditional lock. Slipit keeps the blade in both - folded and unfolded positions. Slipit folders are also equipped with (finger choil) an undercut under the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge, preventing accidental closing of the blade.
Blade - about Leaf-Shaped profile. Made of easy-to-sharp 8Cr13MoV stainless steel (equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel). Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with full flat cut (Full Flat Grind). The flat cut guarantees the perfect geometry of the cutting edge with a sharp tip, reduces the weight of the knife and presents a beautiful satin finish. The notched fragment of the blade back, ramp (index finger chiol) positions the thumb, gives solid support and facilitates folder handling. Comet-shaped incisions (Spyderco patent) for quick blade opening.
Handle - covered with non-slip, textured claddings made of G-10 material (durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals). A screwed (left / right) wire clip (deep-pocket wire clip) allows you to carry the knife deep in the pocket in the tip-up position.
